Vinátta - Poulsbo 47.7 Hour Film Challenge
A sailor and his son set course for Poulsbo, Washington. A film by Andrew Tomayko, Chad & Avi Brigman.
Our submission for the 2025 Poulsbo 47.7 Hour Film Challenge, and the audience choice award winner!
We were assigned our film parameters at 6 PM on Friday, February 28th, and had until 6 PM on Sunday to submit our final film.
Prop: A doughnut from Sluys Bakery
Location: Spice & Tea Exchange
Line: "This must be my lucky day"
Friday night, after the opening event, we set sail to a nearby anchorage, choosing to capture the story chronologically on Saturday. Aside from a few quick pickups on Sunday, what you see in the film unfolded in the same order it was experienced. All the music was composed by Chad during filming. We had a great time–it felt less like a challenge and more like capturing the moments we’d be having anyway. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who felt the heart in our story. Winning the Audience Choice Award means the world to us.
Huge thank you:
