R2AK 2028: For the love of the game
For over a decade, Race to Alaska has quietly collected a drawer full of complaints about fairness, most of them pointing to one thing: human-powered teams racing for glory while everyone else raced for $10,000. So we opened the drawer. This playful investigation follows the race organizers as they dig into the grievances and roll out a brand new prize structure. Did they solve the problem? Not exactly. But they did reorganize it, trading one set of frustrations for an entirely new one.
