sailing to a sea bird sanctuary
I spent the last week of 2025 on one final adventure with Konami, the vessel that carried me safely from Alaska to Costa Rica. Chad joined me, his friendship having grown into brotherhood over the years. Together we sailed through quiet, remote islands off the Pacific coast of Mexico. He was there for Konami’s maiden voyage in Portland over six years ago, so sharing her twilight sail together felt fitting. A perfect bookend to a chapter that shaped my life. Konami is the Westsail 32 that carried me through some of the most formative years of my life and across thousands of miles of ocean. While this voyage marks the end of my time with her, my sailing journey is far from over.
